Index to Active Exercises on Parallel Algorithms
Joel Wein
This web page is an index to the active exercsises on parallel algorithms that I have developed with support from NSF, SUN Microsystems, and the NY State Science and Technology Foundation. For a description of the project, see my paper in the on-line proceedings of the 2nd Forum on Parallel Computing Curricula at URL http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/FPCC/papers/wein.html.
Note that the exercises I point to here are simply the course material that I put on the web during the course, and some of it was done before I knew much about HTML. ( I still don't know that much). Some of it may be sketchy or inconsistent with other handouts, but one can certainly get a very good idea of what I was trying to do in these courses.
I'm happy to hear any feedback on the paper or course material; my email address is wein@mem.poly.edu..
Click here to see the index of the active exercises that I used in the first course, that was based almost entirely on an active learning approach.
Click on any of the following to see the active exercises used in the survey course:
Load-Balancing In-Class Exercise
Parallel Algorithm In-Class Exercise Part I
Parallel Algorithm In-Class Exercise Part II
